Na’ballo, a notorious bandit leader and close ally of Ado Aleiro, has surfaced, highlighting his central role in some of Nigeria’s most high-profile banditry operations, including the Kaduna train abduction.
Na’ballo, described as one of the most dangerous bandits in the Northwest, was a key player in the March 2022 Kaduna train abduction, where hundreds of passengers were kidnapped in a coordinated attack that shocked the nation.
His influence extended beyond his hideout in eastern Takulawa, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, as he coordinated several criminal operations, including mass kidnappings and cattle rustling.
Months ago, Na’ballo was intercepted while traveling to Kano. However, he was either controversially released or managed to escape, an incident that drew public criticism and further emboldened his criminal activities.
Na’ballo’s notoriety and involvement in high profile crimes have made his elimination a significant victory for Nigeria’s security forces.
Na’ballo, known as an ally of Ado Aleiro, has been killed during a violent clash. Na’ballo, a high profile bandit with a history of terrorizing communities, was reportedly based in the eastern Takulawa, in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara, where he coordinated criminal activities.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that Na’ballo met his end during an internal confrontation among bandit factions in the area.
In a separate incident on Monday suspected Fulani bandits launched an attack on a motorist between Kucheri and Magazu villages.
The motorists narrowly escaped and alerted the military.
Acting on the intelligence, troops responded swiftly and neutralized the bandits in a coordinated operation, killing all eight attackers.
No civilians were harmed during the military intervention.
