Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has declared that leadership is divinely ordained, stressing that only God installs and removes leaders at will.
In a statement issued by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director-General of Media and Publicity at the Government House, Governor Yusuf reflected on the aftermath of the 2023 elections, describing it as the toughest period of his life.
“I faced the most difficult challenges of my life after the 2023 elections. But through those challenges and tears, I remain committed to serving Kano. I am still here because of God, not because of any individual,” he said.
Reaffirming his faith in divine providence, the governor added:
“Leadership is never in the hands of man. God installs and removes leaders as He wishes. Whether I seek re-election or not, my duty is to deliver meaningful programmes that will benefit the people. I know one day I will vacate this seat, which is why I am doing my best now to transform Kano physically, socially, and morally.”
Governor Yusuf concluded by assuring residents that no matter the hurdles, his commitment to transforming Kano remains unshaken.
