Tiwa Savage, the acclaimed Nigerian singer, took to her Instagram story to hint at a possible departure from the music industry after the release of her next album. The 44-year-old expressed feeling tired and hinted at giving her best effort.
Despite not disclosing the title or release date of her upcoming album, the ‘Koroba’ hitmaker shared, “This might be my last studio album. I am tired, I don try.”
Since gaining fame with her 2010 hit single ‘Kele Kele Love,’ Tiwa Savage has solidified her position as a leading figure in Nigerian music and earned recognition on a global scale.
Notably, Tiwa Savage has opened up about the impact of her divorce from ex-husband Tunji Balogun, also known as TeeBillz. TeeBillz announced their separation on social media in 2018, a decision Tiwa Savage claims he made while she was dealing with postpartum depression following the birth of their son.
In a recent interview with ‘The Receipts’ Podcast, Tiwa Savage refuted allegations that she initiated the divorce, attributing the breakup to TeeBillz’s actions. She expressed disappointment at being blamed for the end of their marriage and how it led to her adopting the persona of ‘African Bad Girl.’
