In a statement addressed to “my beloved Ndi Anambra, friends, and well-wishers,” Obiano said he woke to the circulating false report but assured the public that he is “alive, hale, hearty, and in excellent health.” He thanked those who reached out with calls, messages and prayers, and urged everyone to disregard the rumour.
“By the special grace of God, I am doing very well,” Obiano added, asking that people remain “focused, grateful, and guided by God’s grace.” He closed the message with thanks — “Daalu nu, and may God bless you all.”
