A viral video showing Nigerian Senator Adams Oshiomhole in an intimate moment aboard a private jet has ignited a firestorm of outrage across social media, leading to new revelations regarding the identity of his companion.
Fresh findings have confirmed that the woman in the footage is not Oshiomhole’s wife, contrary to widespread speculation. While initial rumors suggested the woman was his spouse, Iara Fortes—a Cape Verdean lawyer and former model—investigations indicate otherwise.
The Identity Reveal
Evidence shows the woman is actually a South African lifestyle influencer and adult-oriented content creator. Identified by her TikTok handle **@leshaandagama** (and former Instagram account **@leshaan_dagama**), she has previously described herself on her social media profiles as a **“professional sugar baby,”** explicitly warning those with limited financial means to “stay away.”

The short clip, which began trending on Monday, shows the former labor leader and current Senator rubbing the woman’s foot inside the cabin of a luxury private jet. The footage has reignited a national debate concerning political excess, elite privilege, and the widening gap of inequality in Nigeria.
Public Backlash
The revelation has further inflamed public anger. Many Nigerians have taken to social platforms to question how a serving senator—who built his career as a champion of the working class—can openly flaunt such a lifestyle amid the country’s current economic hardships.
Critics argue that the display of luxury contrasts sharply with Oshiomhole’s roots as a labor activist.
From Labor Leader to Political Heavyweight
Adams Oshiomhole’s personal history adds a layer of irony to the current controversy. A former textile worker, he rose to national prominence as the General Secretary of the National Union of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria in 1982.
He later became the face of the Nigerian masses as the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), where he famously led nationwide strikes against rising fuel prices and government austerity.
His political career includes:
Governor of Edo State (2008–2016):
Served two terms after a protracted legal battle to reclaim his mandate.
APC National Chairman (2018–2020): Led the ruling party before a turbulent suspension.
Senator (2023–Present): Currently represents Edo North Senatorial District.
A Pattern of Controversy
This incident follows another recent public embarrassment for the Senator. In June 2024, Oshiomhole was involved in a heated altercation at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos. Air Peace airline accused him of “unruly conduct” and disrupting terminal operations after he allegedly confronted staff over a missed flight to Abuja.
As of the time of this publication, Senator Oshiomhole has not issued an official statement regarding the viral jet footage or the identity of the woman involved.
