Angwan Takua, Morao road came up alive and motorable eighteen years from its constructions it’s first construction
This became possible as Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu flags off the upgrading of the 18 kilometer ring road on Monday,that gulped over #148 Million Naira.
Chairman of the party occasion and former APC National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu led other governorship aspirants to the event.
In their goodwill messages, Dr. Shuiab Fiasal, who spoke on behalf of other aspirants, Hon. Daniel Oga Ogazi, member representing Kokona East state assembly, and the APC state chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, lauded Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu for undertaking the construction of the road, which is not only beneficial to the people of Angwan Takua and Morao but is an intervention that serves as a big relief to the people of Kokona local government area and Nasarawa state at large.
Dr. Fiasal in his remark, hailed Senator Wadada, describing him as a politician who has the people at heart. He urged the people to continue to be law-abiding, saying going forward, politics is not to promote enmity. “Even as one of the governorship aspirant, I am really excited that Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, who is also a governorship aspirant, has done this to the people of his constituency.”
The permanent secretary State ministry of works Mr Aliyu Ayitogo who represented the state governor said the project is in line with the state government programs and policy which the senator has demonstrated that he is one of those whom if given the opportunity to govern the state ,will continue from where Engineer Abdullahi Sule will stop.
In his address, Senator Abdullahi Adamu harped on unity, peace, and love for one another.
He said as the chairman of the occasion, he is pleased with the development initiated by his successor, distinguished Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, urging the people to shun politics of bitterness and embrace one another for the progress of the state.
Senator Abdullahi Adamu emphasized that as the leader of those agitating for zoning of the governorship position to Nasarawa West zone, he said it is not in attempt to deprive any zone but a passionate appeal for the purpose of equity, progress, and peaceful coexistence.
On their part, the contractor, Mob-Lab Construction and Engineering Company, disclosed that the total cost of the project is over #148 million covering 18 kilometer with 3 culverts.
Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu while flagging the road construction pointed out that this is not just the first time he is constructing the road, but he did while in the Federal House of Representatives. “Therefore I will rather say we are rehabilitating the road.”
Answering questions from journalists, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu said the project is politically motivated, “because I am the senator representing Nasarawa West so giving back to my people is a plus on me and for the development of my people, so it is politically inclined and political targeted to ensure progress, to ease transportation of their farm products to the market and attract investors to the community,” Wadada said.
Senator Wadada used the occasion to praise the developmental stride of the governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule who has done wonderfully well in infrastructural development in the state worth emulating .
Earlier the paramount ruler of Kokona ,His Royal Highness Lawrence Sylvester Ayih commended the senator for the project, saying the road is one of the major road that covers villages who had been facing difficulty in transportation.”With this upgrades I see my people being relieve from years disconnection” He added.
