Nigerian tycoon Tony Elumelu has pledged a whopping £25 billion to supercharge the Lagos Food Security Initiative.

Unveiling the donation at Wednesday’s launch of the Produce for Lagos Programme, Elumelu, UBA chairman, said the funds will boost food systems and tackle youth unemployment.

“Our young people shouldn’t be jobless—we have fertile lands,” he declared, igniting hope for economic growth in Lagos.
