The Minister of State for Defence and former Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, has declared that President Bola Tinubu deserves a second term in office, insisting that his performance since assuming office has been impressive.
Matawalle made the declaration on Friday during the unveiling of the North-West headquarters of the Tinubu Again Movement in Kaduna, ahead of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign flag-off.
The event was announced in a statement signed by the movement’s media office and made available to journalists in Abuja on Friday evening.
Matawalle, who is the founder and convener of the Tinubu Again Movement, said the group would intensify efforts to publicise the achievements of the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He said the movement’s programmes and empowerment initiatives were underway, adding that it would take the message of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda to communities and households across the country.
According to him, the Tinubu-led administration has performed impressively since its inception and deserves another opportunity to govern the country.
The minister said the movement was committed to mobilising support for the President by communicating his administration’s policies and achievements to Nigerians at the grassroots.
The unveiling of the North-West headquarters is part of the movement’s efforts to expand its presence and strengthen its mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general election.
Among those who attended the event were a former Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mohammed Sani Sidi, and a former Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya.
Other attendees included political stakeholders, representatives of organisations and community leaders who expressed interest in partnering with the movement ahead of the next presidential election.
The movement said it would continue its engagement with communities as it seeks to build support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
