Renowned business executive and socialite Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu was apprehended by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday morning.
According to a statement released by Achimugu’s legal team, the arrest occurred around 5:00 AM upon her arrival at Abuja Airport from London. The statement emphasized that Achimugu voluntarily returned to Nigeria from London.

Reportedly, Achimugu’s lawyer had informed the Federal High Court in Abuja that she had already indicated in court documents her intention to visit the EFCC today, Tuesday.
The court has also mandated Achimugu’s presence before it on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, to continue proceedings related to the matter.
