American rapper Cardi B has entered the history books once again after her second studio album, Am I The Drama?, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The project, which moved 200,000 equivalent album units in its opening week, makes Cardi B the first female rapper to see her first two studio albums debut at the top of the prestigious chart.
Billboard confirmed the milestone in a statement released via Instagram, saying: “Cardi B scores her second No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as ‘Am I The Drama?’ debuts atop the tally. With 200,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S., it marks 2025’s biggest week for an R&B/hip-hop album by a woman.”
Her 2018 debut album, Invasion of Privacy, also launched at No. 1, cementing her reputation as one of the most commercially consistent artists in the industry.
Industry analysts say the strong debut was powered by heavy streaming figures and solid physical sales, boosted by multiple CD and vinyl versions.
Beyond music sales, Cardi B pulled off a unique promotional stunt that grabbed global headlines. She broke a Guinness World Record after delivering 176 signed copies of the album via drone across the Dallas–Fort Worth area within just one hour.
The Bronx-born star is expected to keep the momentum going with a nationwide arena tour scheduled to begin in February 2026. The tour will give fans the opportunity to witness her trademark high-energy stage performances.
With this achievement, Am I The Drama? now holds the record for the biggest first-week sales of 2025 for a female hip-hop or R&B artist.
