Controversial social media commentator, VeryDarkMan, has downplayed actress Iyabo Ojo’s recent petition against the Commissioner of Police in charge of the National Cybercrime Centre, CP Ifeanyi Henry Uche, describing it as baseless and ineffective.

Iyabo Ojo had filed a petition to the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, accusing CP Uche of breaching ethical standards by allowing a civilian VeryDarkMan into her police interrogation, despite his involvement in a separate case where she stands as a witness.

According to the actress, the incident occurred during her recent invitation to the Nigeria Police Force National Cyber Crime Centre (NPF-NCCC), where she had been called in over her public accusations against singer Naira Marley and his associate Sam Larry following the death of Mohbad.

Taking to his Instagram story on Tuesday evening, VeryDarkMan shared a snapshot of the petition and wrote: “@nigeriastory this petition na suya paper.”

His response, using Nigerian street slang to imply that the petition is worthless or of no consequence, sparked mixed reactions online.

Iyabo Ojo had earlier alleged that CP Uche compromised professional standards by allowing an individual directly involved in a related cyberbullying case to sit through her questioning.

The matter traces back to her outspoken demand for justice in the death of young singer Mohbad, whose videos of alleged bullying by Naira Marley and Sam Larry went viral posthumously. The actress’s activism has since drawn attention, both supportive and critical, especially from online figures like VeryDarkMan.
