A Federal High Court in Kaduna has adjourned the bail hearing of Jimi Lawal, a former aide to ex-Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai, until Friday.
Lawal is the second defendant in a case involving allegations of financial misconduct.
At Wednesday’s proceedings, the presiding judge, Justice Hauwa’u Buhari, adjourned the hearing of Lawal’s bail application to Friday.
The court also fixed 8 December for the continuation of the substantive case.
Lawal, who served under el-Rufai during his tenure as governor of Kaduna State, is facing proceedings over the allegations, which remain subject to determination by the court.
The latest adjournment means Lawal’s application for bail will be considered at the next hearing on Friday.
