Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has called for the full integration of Arabic education into Nigeria’s formal education system, arguing that graduates of Arabic-speaking universities should enjoy the same recognition and career opportunities as those from conventional institutions.

The governor said the move would promote inclusivity, educational equity and national development by ensuring that qualifications obtained from accredited Arabic-speaking universities are accorded equal value within Nigeria’s educational and public service frameworks.

Mohammed stressed that graduates of Arabic institutions possess valuable academic and professional skills that should not be overlooked, urging policymakers to eliminate barriers that limit their access to employment and further educational opportunities.

His remarks add to the growing national conversation on educational reforms aimed at creating a more inclusive system that recognises diverse learning pathways while guaranteeing equal opportunities for all qualified graduates.
