Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has launched a fresh attack on the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing the federal government of being consumed by what he described as “dangerous scandals” that continue to undermine public confidence in governance.
Reacting to recent developments surrounding the Presidential Fiscal and Infrastructure Projects Committee (PFIPC), Atiku alleged that the Tinubu administration has become synonymous with controversy, secrecy and allegations of misconduct, arguing that the frequency of such incidents has raised serious concerns about transparency and accountability in government.
The former presidential candidate maintained that rather than addressing mounting economic hardship and the concerns of ordinary Nigerians, the administration has repeatedly found itself battling allegations that, according to him, threaten the credibility of public institutions.
Atiku called on the government to embrace openness and subject public officials and institutions to proper scrutiny, insisting that accountability remains essential to restoring citizens’ trust in government.
His remarks come amid growing political exchanges between the opposition and the ruling administration over governance, public spending and the management of key national projects.
The Presidency has yet to officially respond to Atiku’s latest criticism.
