The All Progressives Congress (APC) has screened a fresh set of high-profile contenders as political manoeuvring intensifies ahead of the party’s primaries.
Among those screened by the APC National Screening Committee were former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar.

The development marks a significant step in the party’s internal selection process, with attention now shifting to what is expected to be a fiercely contested primary election.
Party supporters and political observers say the screening exercise signals the beginning of intense political calculations and alliance-building within the ruling party, as aspirants seek to consolidate support ahead of the decisive vote.
With the race now entering a critical phase, APC stakeholders are urging a transparent contest as momentum builds toward the primaries.
“Let the most popular candidate win,” supporters declared, capturing the growing anticipation surrounding the battle for the party’s ticket.
