An All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Adamawa State, Abdulrahman Haske, has called for immediate security reinforcement across vulnerable communities in Nigeria’s north-east following a deadly attack blamed on suspected insurgents.

Haske’s appeal comes in the wake of the killing of residents in Mayo Ladde, a community in Hong Local Government Area, where suspected members of Boko Haram are believed to have carried out the assault.

In a statement, the APC aspirant urged security agencies to intensify operations in at-risk areas, warning that communities remain exposed to recurring violence if urgent action is not taken.

He emphasised the need for a proactive and sustained military presence, alongside improved intelligence gathering, to prevent further attacks and restore confidence among residents.

The north-east region has long grappled with insurgency, with sporadic attacks continuing despite ongoing counterinsurgency efforts by Nigerian security forces.

There has been no immediate official response from authorities regarding the latest incident.
