As the Nigerian Army continues its drive toward modernization and enhanced operational efficiency, the Directorate of Army Public Relations has announced the launch of a new television documentary series, “Spotlight on the Nigerian Army.”
The flagship episode, airing this Sunday, offers an exclusive look into the leadership of the 25th Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu. Since taking the mantle of command, Lt. Gen. Shaibu has emphasized a proactive and integrated approach to national security—a theme that resonates throughout the maiden broadcast.
Beyond the transition of power, the episode provides a comprehensive review of the COAS Annual Conference in Lagos, where the Army’s leadership outlined new strategies for tackling emerging threats. The program also documents recent battlefield successes in Northern Nigeria, specifically highlighting the tactical gains made by the 2 and 8 Divisions.
The broadcast serves as a platform for the Army to communicate its “joint-agency” success stories directly to the public. Interested viewers can tune in to NTA International at 14:03 (2:03 pm) on Sunday, January 18, across all major cable platforms and YouTube.
