Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is determined to unseat Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in the forthcoming governorship election, expressing confidence that the party’s candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, will emerge victorious.
Speaking on Wednesday upon his arrival in Osun State alongside Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to campaign for the APC governorship candidate, Okpebholo said the party had successfully defeated former Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki’s political camp in Edo and was prepared to achieve a similar outcome in Osun.
“We kicked out Obaseki in Edo State, and we will also kick his friend, Governor Adeleke, out of Osun State,” Okpebholo told APC supporters.
The Edo governor also urged residents of Osun State to accept any inducements allegedly offered by political opponents but cast their ballots for the APC on election day.
“They say they have money to spend; take their money and vote for the APC,” he said.
Okpebholo further described APC governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji as the right choice for Osun, expressing confidence that his administration would deliver meaningful development and improve the welfare of the people if elected.
His remarks came as senior APC figures intensified campaigns across Osun State ahead of the governorship election, with party leaders rallying support for Oyebamiji’s candidacy.
