Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released access codes to registered political parties, marking the formal commencement of the candidate nomination process for the 2027 general elections.
The access codes will enable political parties to upload the names and details of their nominated candidates through the commission’s dedicated online nomination portal, in line with the electoral timetable.
The move signals another key milestone in preparations for the 2027 polls, as parties begin the process of finalising and submitting candidates for various elective offices across the country.
