President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described the Igbo people as the “greatest stakeholders” in Nigeria’s unity and long-term economic prosperity, reaffirming their pivotal role in the nation’s development.
Speaking through a message conveyed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, the President praised the entrepreneurial spirit, resilience and nationwide presence of the Igbo community, noting that their contributions continue to drive commerce, innovation and national cohesion.
According to Tinubu, Nigeria’s economic future is inseparable from the industriousness of the Igbo people, whose investments and business networks span every region of the country. He emphasised that sustaining national unity requires recognising and strengthening such partnerships.
He further assured that his administration remains committed to policies that promote inclusion, equal opportunities and the full integration of all ethnic groups into the nation’s political and economic framework.
Tinubu called for deeper collaboration between government and the private sector, stressing that Nigeria’s path to shared prosperity depends on harnessing the talents and dynamism of all its people, especially those who have consistently demonstrated remarkable capacity for nation-building.
