Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been shortlisted for the 2025 Ballon d’Or Yachine Trophy, awarded to the best female goalkeeper in the world.

The 24-year-old made the list after a stellar season with Paris FC before recently signing for Brighton Women FC in the English Women’s Super League.

Nnadozie played a key role in helping Paris FC win the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine, the club’s first major title in nearly twenty years. She produced a decisive penalty save in the final against Paris Saint-Germain, where Paris FC won 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw at Stade de l’Épopée in Calais.

Her performances also stood out on the international stage during the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Nnadozie helped Nigeria clinch a record-extending tenth title at the expense of the host nation.

“I’m honoured to be nominated,” she said in a post on her verified social media handle. “It’s a big moment for me, and I thank everyone who supported me through the season.”

She was named Best Goalkeeper of the tournament and was selected in the WAFCON Team of the Tournament.

Other nominees for the Yachine Trophy include Ann-Katrin Berger (Gotham FC), Hannah Hampton (Chelsea Women), Cata Coll (Barcelona Femeni), and Daphne van Domselaar (Arsenal Women).

The winner will be announced at the Ballon d’Or ceremony later this year.
