Nigerian music star Davido has achieved another major milestone as his album “Timeless” received a Silver Certification in the United Kingdom.
The certification was confirmed after the album surpassed 100,000 units in UK sales, according to global music analytics platform Chart Data. This recognition marks a significant international achievement for the award-winning artist.
Released in March 2023, Timeless quickly became a fan favourite and broke multiple streaming records across platforms including Spotify Nigeria, Boomplay, Audiomack, and YouTube. Its global reception highlighted the growing influence of Afrobeats and Davido’s prominent role in shaping the genre’s international appeal.
In addition to its commercial success, Timeless earned the singer two Grammy nominations — Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance and a Headies nomination for Song of the Year.
Following the release of the album, Davido embarked on a global “Timeless Tour”, thrilling fans across continents and reinforcing his global reach. From packed arenas in Europe to electric performances across Africa and the Americas, the tour further showcased the depth and popularity of the album.
