The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is revving up for a fierce political face-off with Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), promising a no-holds-barred fight in the 2027 general election.

Speaking after a key strategy session in Abuja, ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi declared that the party is undeterred by its lack of serving governors and is rallying grassroots Nigerians disillusioned with President Tinubu’s leadership.

“They said we wouldn’t last six months — we’re still here, stronger than ever,” Abdullahi said. “We’re not just a party; we’re a people-powered movement. Nigerians are tired, hungry, and angry — and they want change.”

The ADC, backed by a broad coalition, vowed to counter any APC tactics and warned against potential rigging. “Votes will count in 2027,” added party stalwart Babachir Lawal. “Whatever dirty tricks they try — we’ll beat them at their own game.”

Also at the event, Interim National Chairman Senator David Mark lamented the worsening crisis in the North, saying: “The region is bleeding, and only unity through the ADC can stop the haemorrhage.”

The ADC insisted it wouldn’t be hijacked by political elites, promising a transparent, people-first agenda. With growing support and bold rhetoric, the party is clearly positioning itself as the fiercest opposition threat to the Tinubu government yet.
