Zenith Bank Plc is set to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026 with its annual seminar aimed at advancing women’s leadership and empowerment. The event will hold on Monday, March 9, at The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Aligned with the global theme “Give to Gain,” which highlights the importance of intentional investment in women, Zenith Bank’s seminar will focus on this year’s theme, **“Take It, You Own It.”** This reflects the Bank’s dual emphasis on institutions creating enabling environments and encouraging women to step forward, claim their space, and lead with confidence.
In her remarks ahead of the seminar, Group Managing Director/CEO Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji, OON, emphasized the importance of intentionality in advancing gender equality. “At Zenith Bank, we are deliberate about building environments where women are supported to grow, thrive, and shape outcomes,” she said.
The seminar will feature an engaging programme including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive sessions focused on leadership, professional growth, wellbeing, and collaboration. The event aims to bring together women leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and emerging talents from diverse sectors such as business, governance, technology, and the creative industries.
Building on the success of past editions like the 2025 seminar themed “Winning On All Fronts,” this year’s programme is designed not only to celebrate women’s achievements but also to inspire purposeful action and ownership of growth opportunities.
Zenith Bank’s sustained commitment to women’s advancement through such initiatives underscores the critical role of institutional support paired with individual empowerment in fostering sustainable progress and inclusive development.
