Controversial Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has weighed in on Regina Daniels’ recent visit to music star Tiwa Savage, urging the actress to seek guidance from May Edochie, estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie, instead.

Maduagwu questioned the decision of Regina Daniels to approach Tiwa Savage, describing the musician as someone “who also needs counseling.” He suggested that Regina could learn from women like May Edochie, who, according to him, endured marital challenges without airing personal grievances on social media.

“Regina Daniels, why are you taking COUNSEL from TIWA SAVAGE that also needs Counseling? Who are those advising Regina Ni TORI Olorun? So, you no see woman like my Queen May that went through WoRSE than you did in MARRIAGE, yet never RIDICULE or reveal any of her husband’s SECRETS on social media?” Maduagwu wrote on his social media account.

The actor’s commentary has sparked widespread reactions online. Some Nigerians agreed with his position, praising May Edochie’s discretion in handling marital issues. Others, however, questioned the timing and motives of public advice in a highly charged personal matter.

Kenneth Akuwudike commented: “A poor man’s wife is only happy in the night only the wise one will understand.” Chiamaka Nwaigwe noted: “Did Yul accuse May of drug abuse? Abeg, leave Gina alone.” Other commenters stressed the need for balance, pointing out that public commentary often overshadows the complexities of individual relationships.

The intervention follows a series of public statements from Regina Daniels concerning her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. Recently, she issued a warning for him to stop what she described as attempts to damage her personally and publicly. She alleged that he introduced her to a drug named Molly to satisfy him, which she claimed made her vulnerable.
