Troops Arrest Two Terror Suspects in Kogi

Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested two suspected terrorists during a routine patrol in the Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The suspects were apprehended at approximately 1:00 p.m. on April 22 by troops of the 12 Brigade deployed at Dankolo. Security sources reveals that the duo was intercepted while patrolling the Adankolo road.

Upon interrogation, the suspects claimed they were invited to the area for cattle rearing. However, they provided a phone number for a civilian contact that could not be reached.

Items recovered from the suspects include one mobile phone, two phone batteries, charms, and ₦1,500.

The suspects and the recovered items are currently in the custody of the 12 Mechanised Infantry Regiment for further investigation. Security sources noted that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to enhance safety and prevent criminal activities within the state.
