Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Musa, has rated the country’s security performance under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at 70 percent, citing what he described as significant progress in tackling insecurity across several regions of the country.
Speaking during an assessment of the administration’s security efforts, Musa said the government had recorded notable gains against banditry, terrorism and other violent crimes since Tinubu assumed office.
The minister acknowledged that security challenges still persist in parts of the country, but maintained that ongoing military operations and intelligence-led strategies have considerably weakened criminal networks and restored stability in many affected communities.
Musa further assured Nigerians that the federal government remains committed to improving national security and safeguarding lives and property, stressing that efforts are being intensified to address emerging threats nationwide.
