Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has sworn in a fresh set of federal commissioners for the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and the National Population Commission (NPC), as part of efforts to strengthen key government institutions.
The swearing-in ceremony was held on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Among those inaugurated as commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission were Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Mukhtar Mohammed, representing Kaduna State and a former Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
President Tinubu also administered the oath of office to six newly appointed commissioners of the National Population Commission.
The commissioners are Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi (Ekiti), Nasiru Mu’azu (Zamfara), Isaka Alada Yahaya (Kwara), Professor Sadiq Isah Radda (Katsina), Suleiman Umar (Jigawa), and Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo (Sokoto).
The appointments come as the Tinubu administration continues to fill strategic positions across federal agencies, with the RMAFC responsible for overseeing revenue allocation and fiscal matters, while the NPC is tasked with population data management and demographic planning.
