President Bola Tinubu has appointed his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, to lead a high-powered Nigerian delegation, including five state governors and other senior government officials, to the forthcoming Nigeria–Canada Conference.
The Presidency said the delegation will represent Nigeria at the international gathering, which is expected to strengthen bilateral relations, deepen economic cooperation and promote investment opportunities between both countries.
The team is expected to engage Canadian government officials, business leaders and development partners on key areas including trade, investment, innovation, education, energy and sustainable development.
The inclusion of five governors in the delegation is seen as part of the Federal Government’s drive to encourage stronger collaboration between sub-national governments and international partners, while showcasing investment opportunities across Nigeria’s states.
The conference is also expected to provide a platform for discussions on expanding diplomatic ties, attracting foreign direct investment and fostering partnerships capable of driving economic growth and development.
The Presidency said the delegation reflects the Tinubu administration’s commitment to advancing Nigeria’s global partnerships and positioning the country as an attractive destination for investment and economic cooperation.
