Primate Elijah Ayodele, the spiritual leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has raised alarms regarding President Bola Tinubu’s prospects for re-election in 2027. He warns that the President may face significant challenges not only from opposition figures like Peter Obi but also from three unidentified political players who could dramatically alter the electoral landscape.
In a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, on Sunday, Ayodele acknowledged that while Tinubu has made strides compared to his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, his path to securing a second term is fraught with uncertainties.
Ayodele emphasized that Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, lacks the political clout to unseat Tinubu on his own. He pointed out that the current opposition coalition is not adequately structured to mount a serious challenge to the President. However, the potential emergence of three influential figures could shift the dynamics in favor of the opposition, posing a real threat to Tinubu’s ambitions.
“Obi alone can’t secure the presidency or stop Tinubu,” Ayodele stated. “But the inclusion of three specific individuals in the coalition could derail Tinubu’s ambition.” He urged the President to carefully consider his alliances and the individuals he surrounds himself with, particularly those from northern Nigeria, cautioning that betrayal may arise from unexpected quarters.
The cleric further advised Tinubu to make strategic appointments to safeguard his presidency. “If he doesn’t place the right individuals in sensitive positions, especially in the North, he could be sabotaged despite his preparations,” Ayodele warned, highlighting the importance of political loyalty in the upcoming election cycle.
Looking ahead to 2027, Ayodele predicted a significant shift in the political landscape, suggesting that these three “mystery individuals” hold the key to disrupting Tinubu’s plans. He promised to unveil their identities at the appropriate time, leaving the political community on edge as they anticipate what could be a game-changing revelation.
