Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has praised the Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Zacch Adedeji, describing his leadership as “sterling” and marked by charisma, innovation and national commitment.

In a birthday message issued on Thursday, the president commended Adedeji for what he described as transformational leadership at the revenue agency. The statement was signed by Bayo Onanuga, special adviser to the president on information and strategy.

Tinubu said the NRS chairman has distinguished himself through the introduction of fresh ideas and the adoption of global best practices, which have strengthened revenue administration and institutional efficiency.

The president also highlighted Adedeji’s drive for reform, citing the automation of key systems and deliberate efforts to upskill staff members as critical steps towards building a more effective and modern revenue service.

According to the statement, Tinubu described Adedeji’s dedication as both “charismatic” and impactful, noting that his stewardship has contributed to broader national development goals.

The president wished the NRS chairman good health and continued success, expressing confidence in his ability to further support Nigeria’s economic and fiscal reforms.
