The lifeless body of a woman identified as Princess Ochigbo was discovered on Thursday morning lying by the roadside along the Kubwa Express Road, sparking concerns over the rising wave of insecurity in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The grim discovery was made by a commuter on their way to work, who spotted the body near the Dawaki area, opposite the Gwarimpa Estate.

According to eyewitness accounts, the circumstances surrounding the death point toward a violent encounter with the notorious “One Chance” robbery syndicates that plague the city’s highways. A bag belonging to the deceased was found flung a short distance from her body, suggesting she may have been robbed and pushed out of a moving vehicle.

Documents recovered from the scene and found within her personal effects identify her as Princess Ochigbo. Further details from the recovered papers suggest she was an employee of the FCT High Court.

The discovery has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting the ongoing dangers faced by commuters in the nation’s capital.

The Nigeria Police Force, Dawaki Division, has been notified and is currently handling the matter. Authorities have moved the body, and an investigation into the cause of death is expected to commence.

The police are calling on members of the public who may know Ms. Ochigbo or her family to come forward. Relatives are advised to contact the Nigeria Police Force, Dawaki Division, located opposite Gwarimpa Estate along the Kubwa Express Road, Abuja, for identification and further information.

As of the time of this report, the FCT Police Command has not released an official statement regarding the incident, but security experts continue to warn residents to remain vigilant and avoid boarding unmarked commercial vehicles.
