Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has slammed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over comments suggesting he was “lucky” to have President Bola Tinubu as a tolerant leader despite his criticisms.

Wike, during the flag-off of the Arterial Road N1 construction in Abuja on Thursday, had rebuked Sowore for labelling President Tinubu a “criminal,” adding that he should be grateful to have a president who respects the rule of law.

Reacting on his verified X account, Sowore accused Wike of corruption, land grabbing, and violence during his time in office, branding him unfit to criticise anyone.

“Wike is a dedicated criminal. His day will come,” Sowore wrote, further alleging that the minister should face trial at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
