Omoyele Sowore has levelled fresh criticism against Nyesom Wike, accusing the Federal Capital Territory administration of pursuing land policies that he claims disproportionately affect ordinary residents.
Speaking during remarks on issues surrounding land allocation and urban development in the capital, Sowore alleged that public assets and spaces intended for social services were being redirected while the needs of less privileged citizens remained unaddressed.
He argued that authorities were placing greater focus on acquiring lands occupied or used by ordinary citizens rather than addressing broader concerns such as electricity, healthcare and education.
Sowore also questioned the prioritisation of development projects in the capital, alleging that lands associated with public facilities, including schools and hospitals, were increasingly becoming part of wider land disputes and redevelopment efforts.
The comments add to ongoing debates surrounding land administration and urban planning in Abuja, where concerns over housing, public infrastructure and access to social amenities continue to generate political discussion.
Wike had not publicly responded to the specific allegations at the time of reporting.
