The United Youth Nigeria Movement has urged its members to avoid violent protests that can result in the destruction of lives and properties in the country.
In a statement released in Abuja by the Executive Committee of the United Youth Nigeria Movement, Dr Ibrahim Salihu mni emphasised that the admonition was a reminder for members to abstain from participating in any protests against the government.
Salihu said, “We recognise that it is natural to have concerns; however, we must prioritise discipline and respect for the rule of law. Protesting can lead to unintended consequences, including disruptions to daily life and economic activities.”
He said the potential for violence and harm to individuals, damage to property and infrastructure, and the negative impact on both “your future and the nation’s progress is significant.
“As the leaders of tomorrow, we must concentrate on constructive engagement and peaceful dialogue to address our concerns. Let us collaborate to create a better Nigeria through responsible citizenship and adherence to our laws.
“Stay focused, remain disciplined and let us advance our united Nigeria together,” Salihu said.
The United Youth Nigeria Movement (UYNM) is a transformative platform focused on empowering young Nigerians with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to drive positive change.

A Nigeria where young people are empowered to lead, innovate, and drive sustainable development. A country where meritocracy, inclusivity, and justice are the hallmarks of governance and social progress for all citizens.
“Our Mission is to identify, nurture, and empower young Nigerians who are committed to making a positive impact on their communities and the country at large. We will provide a platform for youth to engage, collaborate, and develop the skills and networks necessary to drive change.”
