Senator Sunday Karimi, the representative for Kogi West Senatorial District, has made a substantial contribution to local development by donating N25 million to three community projects aimed at improving the lives of residents in the region.
The allocation of funds will be directed toward the following initiatives:
• N10 million for the construction and rehabilitation of the Koton Karfi Central Mosque
• N10 million for the construction of the Abugi Central Mosque
• N5 million for the establishment of a new Police Station in Ejuku
This initiative underscores Senator Karimi’s commitment to fostering community development within Kogi West. His previous contributions include:
• N11.5 million for the rehabilitation of the Lokoja Women Fish Cold Room
• N23 million for the construction of the Pakuta Bridge in Kiri, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area
• N750 million for the establishment and equipping of a forward operation base for the Nigerian Military in Egbe
In addition to these projects, the Senator has been instrumental in funding various community development initiatives, such as the ongoing construction of a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and e-learning center at Titcombe College Egbe, in partnership with the Old Students Association, which is projected to cost around N350 million upon completion.
Senator Karimi is also actively involved in the construction of the Edo Community Hospital in the Kakanda district of Lokoja Local Government Area, with a total investment of N150 million. This facility is set to provide essential healthcare services to the people of Kogi West.
