Looking ahead of the 2027 general elections and the survival of the ruling All progressive congress in Nasarawa State without Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, a forum from the Nasarawa Western Senatorial Zone ,have called on him to return to the party.
At a rally in Keffi a group known as ” PADA GOOD TO GO FORUM” the organisers of the rally on Saturday gathered in their hundred at the Keffi Eimir’s palace ground with arm with letter calling on the senator to rejoined the APC.
The Chairman of the forum Alhaji Ahmed Babangunduma ishaq in an interview told our correspondent that the call on Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada to return to APC is nothing strange but a welcome back home to where he was in order to move the party forward.
He said” We have not had any functional development since our senator left the party during the 2023 primary election and APC have not benefited from when senator Wadada left the party.
” So as a forum we decided that it is better for us to call him back home to the APC ,because we are the masses and senator Wadada being a grassroot politician the people are contended with him because he is always with his people. I repeat, despite being the ruling party ,in Nasarawa west we have missed a lot without senator Wadada in the party” Babagunduma added.
He further stated that the absence of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada from the APC left a vacuum not only in the western senatorial zone but in the party in the state” we were not happy at all when he decamped from APC to SDP.We were not happy at all and the officials of the APC in state have realized their mistakes ,when we took this notification of inviting the senator back to the party they were excited and gave us the go ahead” He asserted.
Also speaking a political vanguard Dr Tanimu Mohammed said looking at senator Wadada’s pedigree the call on him by the forum is not in anyway wrong,this he said the masses were the ones that stood for him during his election and if the same people are calling on him to makes return back to the APC is in order.
” You see if our people here are the majority and they feel it is better to have senator Wadada return back to the APC so as to move as a family ,I see nothing wrong with that, the issue of whether the electoral act will not be contradicted does not arised being that is not about who is with the card ,but who plays it well.And Wadada is one politician with the card that knows how to play it well” He addled.
Our correspondent report that some of Wadada’s campaign team as professor Silas Gyar, Honourable Bello Ramalan who prominently led the campaign organization of senator Wadada were said to be supportive of the move by the forum that seeks the return of the SDP senator back to APC,but a few youth in keffi said it may be a miss calculated attempt should the senator defect to the party that denied him the chance in the at general election.
