Rivers crisis:   Women group assures dep. gov of support

In a show of solidarity and appreciation, members of the Rivers Women Unite for SIM, Thursday, visited the state deputy governor, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu in her Port Harcourt residence.

The group led by Chief Sotonye Toby Fulton, extolled the sterling qualities of Prof. Odu for her unwavering support to Governor Siminalayi Fubara even in this trying time.

They eulogised her for her uncommon humility, motherly leadership and commitment to the administration of Governor Fubara. The women prayed for her continued strength, wisdom, health and divine protection.

Receiving the group, the deputy governor welcomed them and expressed joy over the visit. She encouraged them to continue o stand for peace, unity, and progress of the state.

She reaffirmed her commitment to advancing the welfare of women and supporting platforms that promote faith, family, and development. She further assured of her willingness to support the Rivers Women Unite for SIM with her presence whenever needed.

The visit featured prayers, songs of thanksgiving, and words of encouragement, reflecting the unity and spiritual strength of the movement.

Highlight of the visit was the presentation of Rivers Women Unite for SIM designed T-Shirts and face caps, and wrappers to the deputy governor by Chief Fulton. The wrappers were gifts from some local government areas to the deputy governor during the Rivers Women Unite for SIM LGAs inauguration.
