The shift in the presentation of the 2025 budget by President Bola Tinubu from Tuesday to Wednesday has been confirmed by top management staff of the National Assembly. The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, had initially announced the presentation for Tuesday during a plenary session, but it has now been rescheduled for Wednesday.
An official statement on the postponement is expected to be released soon. The budget presentation will take place at the House of Representatives Chamber, with plenary scheduled for 10:30 am. Senators will gather in the Red Chamber before proceeding to the House of Representatives chamber for the presentation.
President Tinubu had previously submitted the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper for 2025–2027 last month to both the Senate and the House of Representatives. The rescheduled budget presentation is eagerly anticipated by lawmakers and the public alike.
