Fulani militia on Saturday Night at about 10 pm launched an unprovoked attacked on innocent residents of Tatara village in Panda Development Area of Nasarawa State.
This was revealed that far from what was earlier reported as confirmed by the police as robbery attacked leaving Three persons injured,investigation thereafter unearthed that a group of Fulani militia invaded the community with motor cycles and started shooting sporadically from a shop where Three persons were feared killed being first victims .
Further checks revealed that before the security arrived the scene of the mayhem the killer Fulani men had killed more people numbering about Seven .
On arrival of the securities the dire devil killers flee the community leaving behind their motor cycles .Sources in the area said the killers were from near by villages of Kaduna neighboring Tatara , who after the attacked escaped their hideouts.
Ibrahim Babayo from Keffi said ” I received a called at around 12 am on Sunday confirming that gunmen, allegedly from the Fulani tribe, stormed the village, shooting indiscriminately and leaving seven innocent lives lost.
” This vicious attack is reportedly part of a series of assaults that have plagued the area for some time.And as a concerned group and security committee, our primary focus is on finding solutions to prevent such repeated attacks and ensure the safety and well-being of the affected communities, particularly Tatara village” He said.
He urged relevant authorities to take immediate action to: Investigate the attack and bring perpetrators to justice.
as well as implement effective measures to prevent future attacks.
