
President Bola Tinubu on Friday, received a special delegation from the State of Qatar, led by Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
They are in the country to explore investment opportunities in agriculture, food security, and other critical sectors.
While playing host, Tinubu said he is not averse to new initiatives by the Qatari investors who will be sending another research team to the country soon.
Tinubu said Nigeria remains open to strategic partnerships.
Dr Al-Khulaifi, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, conveyed Amir’s strong interest in expanding bilateral cooperation, revealing that a high-level Qatari business delegation will visit Nigeria in the coming weeks to explore opportunities in agriculture, food security, and other critical sectors.
The Nigerian President stated the country’s readiness to build on the momentum generated by his state visit to Qatar in 2024.
He pledged to implement all bilateral agreements between the two countries.
Tinubu also directed the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu; the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, to work together to ensure the timely execution of these agreements.
Abiodun Commissions Nigeria’s First Rapid Diagnostic Test Production Facility In Ogun
The Ogun State Governor; Prince Dapo Abiodun has commissioned Nigeria’s first large scale rapid diagnostic test (IVT) production facility and second of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The company, CODIX BIO Limited, an In-vitro Diagnostic(IVD) factory is located along the Sagamu expressway, with scope of production that concentrates on the manufacturing test kits for HIV, Malaria, as well as Hepatitis B and C.
