President Tinubu Begins Two-Week Working Visit to France for Mid-Term Review

President Bola Tinubu departed Nigeria on Wednesday for a two-week working visit to Paris, France, where he will assess his administration’s mid-term performance and plan for the coming year. According to a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President will use this period to “appraise his administration’s mid-term performance and assess key milestones,” as well as “review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.” The Presidency highlighted a recent report from the Central Bank of Nigeria indicating a rise in the nation’s net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11bn, suggesting progress in fiscal reforms. While in France, President Tinubu will remain engaged with his team and continue to oversee government activities, with his return to Nigeria expected in approximately two weeks.
