KANO — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Kano on Friday to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late business magnate and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
The presidential aircraft touched down at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport at approximately 3:30 p.m. local time. He was received by a high-level delegation led by Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf.
The President was accompanied on the trip by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

The visit is a mark of respect for the revered elder statesman, who passed away in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on June 28, 2025. President Tinubu was out of the country at the time of the death but had directed a delegation of ministers, led by Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru, to represent the federal government at the burial in Saudi Arabia.
In Kano, President Tinubu is scheduled to formally condole with the Dantata family, as well as the people and government of Kano State, in a final farewell to the nonagenarian.
