Controversial street-hop artist Portable has publicly expressed frustration over being ignored by Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy, despite receiving a generous ₦20 million gift from him.
The cash gift was reportedly given by Burna Boy to Portable after he defeated fellow artist Speed Darlington in a boxing match. While Portable expressed gratitude for the financial support, he lamented that Burna Boy has not responded to any of his messages or calls since.
In a recent video circulating online, Portable said,
“Person wey give me 20 million never reply me for Instagram before, I dey call am, he no pick, e no follow me, I no get him number and yet he gave me money. Why he dey stingy with his replies?”
Although Portable and Burna Boy have never had a personal conversation, the street-hop singer said what he now desires most is a music collaboration with Burna Boy, which he feels would be more valuable than the money.
Fans have since been divided in their reactions, debating whether Burna Boy owes Portable any further engagement beyond the financial gesture.
