The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, on Monday, May 11, 2026, presided over the formal assumption of office of Mr. Lamido Yuguda as a Deputy Governor of the apex bank.
During the ceremony held at the Bank’s headquarters, Mr. Yuguda subscribed to the relevant oath of office, marking the official commencement of his tenure within the Bank’s executive management team.
The Governor congratulated the new Deputy Governor, noting that his wealth of experience would be instrumental in navigating the current economic landscape and achieving the Bank’s mandate of price stability and financial system resilience.
