In a gesture reflecting his commitment to social welfare and human dignity, Peter Obi has donated ₦10 million to St. Martin’s Orphanage and Home for the Lonely Adults in Igboukwu, Anambra State.
The institution, which operates under the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia, caters to orphaned children and elderly individuals without family support.
Obi, who visited the facility as part of his continued efforts to support critical areas of development, described the home as a profoundly impactful institution.
He praised the Diocese’s dedication to caring for the most vulnerable members of society, noting the selfless service being rendered to both the young and the elderly.
“This is but a modest contribution to a cause that embodies love, compassion, and service to humanity,” Obi said, expressing deep admiration for the efforts of the Catholic Church and the leadership of Peter Cardinal Okpaleke.
