The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caucus in the House of Representatives has publicly affirmed its full backing for all resolutions passed by the party’s organs and committees, including key decisions from its recent Zamfara and Lagos meetings. This declaration came following an emergency caucus meeting held in Abuja on August 25, 2025, aimed at fostering unity and stability within the party.
Honourable Fred Agbedi, Caucus Leader, assured the media that the PDP representatives are committed to supporting initiatives designed to strengthen the party and secure victory in the 2027 presidential and general elections. “As representatives, we stand fully behind the party’s leadership and all its resolutions with the goal of creating a stable and peaceful PDP capable of winning the 2027 elections,” Agbedi said.
He emphasized that the caucus is free of internal disputes, clarifying, “There are no lingering crises. We have no issue with lingering crises. The caucus adopts all the decisions of the committees and organs of the party, and we are ready to work with them.”
Agbedi further expressed the caucus’s determination to contribute actively to reconciliation efforts and party progress ahead of the critical electoral season. This unified stance marks a strategic attempt by the PDP to consolidate its fractured base after recent internal challenges and defections.
