The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced an indefinite extension of the deadline for submitting expression of interest and nomination forms for aspirants vying for elective positions at the upcoming national convention. Initially set for September 26, the new deadline remains unset, according to Debo Ologunagba, Secretary of the National Convention Organising Committee’s Publicity Sub-Committee.
Ologunagba disclosed on Saturday from Abuja that the screening date for aspirants, originally scheduled for September 30, has also been postponed, with new arrangements yet to be communicated.
The PDP’s national convention is slated to take place on November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, Oyo State. The extension aims to provide aspirants sufficient time ahead of this key party event.
Debo Ologunagba emphasised, “The committee has not fixed another submission deadline but will make the new date public in due course.”
