Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has reassured residents that local government administration will soon be fully operational, describing current hurdles as temporary setbacks.

Speaking at a “welcome back home” event hosted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at their Osogbo secretariat, Adeleke highlighted his administration’s commitment to grassroots development and good governance since taking office less than three years ago.

He stated, “We have moved the state from a stage of hopelessness to a status of hope. We have put smiles on the faces of pensioners and restored the faith of workers. Water has reached remote areas, agriculture is mechanised, villages are connected, and new roads and bridges have been constructed.”

The governor also noted improvements in primary healthcare, financial support for artisans, and empowerment of cooperative societies as significant achievements.

Urging citizens to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by INEC, Adeleke emphasised, “Osun cannot afford a return to bad governance.”

Osun PDP Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, praised Adeleke’s leadership and predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will fail to capture any local government in the next election due to widespread support for the PDP.

Senator Lere Oyewumi, representing Osun West, echoed these sentiments, stating, “Adeleke’s popularity has ensured PDP’s strength in Osun, as the people recognise our party’s good governance.”
