Just weeks after defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu (Davematics) has resigned from the ruling party, citing fresh concerns over his political future.
Ombugadu, a former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, confirmed his departure from the APC on Tuesday. His resignation comes shortly after he left the PDP, a move he attributed to the protracted leadership crisis within the opposition party.
His latest exit follows allegations from a group within the state alleging a coordinated plot to derail his gubernatorial ambitions ahead of the 2027 elections.
The group further claimed that the APC’s recent electronic membership registration was marred by irregularities, allegedly aimed at favouring a rival aspirant positioned to succeed Governor Abdullahi Sule.
